Sultan El-tarab GeoGeorge Wassouf started singing very young at the age
of 12 years old in his hometown Kafroun in Homs - Syria , this in
different places and on different occasions like in marriages, parties,
hotels, sheratons and so on. Very short period after, he moved to
Lebanon, at very young age where he started singing there and where he
really became more famous. It was at the age of 16 years old that when
he became the real famous man, the sultan of tarab with his classic song
Hawa Sultan. People at that time associated him as being the only one who can provide tarab with his magic and crystal voice that really started very sharp and went into its revolution long time trip with time. It is at the age of 16 that he really started rocking and making loud noise in Syria and Lebanon. Few of his first songs like Hawa Sultan, Ro7i ya Nesmah, Helif el-amar, Law naweit, are the ones that really brought him up. The family name "Wassouf" is first of all the name of a statue God that was in the middle ages (around 1500 b.c.). Wassouf's magic voice was first of all discovered by his first manager and producer "George Al-Khouri" this when Wassouf was 12 years old. He was singing in a marriage. GeoGeorge Wassouf also got married very young also at the age of 16 years old to Shalimar and they have three young men and his oldest is Wadee3. This is what makes close friends to Wassouf and those who know him to call him Abu Wadee3. GeoGeorge Wassouf is born on December 23rd 1961, moved young to Beirut (Lebanon) and was called the mericalious child at that time. GeoGeorge Wassouf has more than 30 albums produced now and has concerts all around the world. Started from the famous Lebanese show which fired the fame of many Lebanese singers "Studio El Fan" 1980 when he was only 16 years old, suprisingly he was called at this time "Sultan of Singing". Wassouf's Songs are popular , till this day. The Song "7ilef il Amar" made a massive hit in the arab world, although Wassouf was quite young at that time. However Wassouf was able to rise to the rank of "king" of Arab Tarab. Many Singers are jealous of wassouf , and that's why they try to copy his unique style and performance. Wassouf is one of the most singers that were able to attract millions of fans in a short period of time also Wassouf is not only famous in the Arab World but is also known in Europe and the States as one of the Best Arabian Singers. According to his life and his fame ... he should have been called also "The King of Rumors" as he lived a life that was filled with rumors about his love life, his health and so on that it was told once earlier in 2001 that he died out of an overdose. Married with three kids ( Wadee3,Hatem and George jr.)... and the thing that hurts him the most is betrayl. He doesn't like to shoot his songs into video clips although he had some successful hits in the early 1990s, used to say about this" i don't feel i can't act ... i really can't... i only find myself when i'm on the stage ... singing, but the video clip forces me to act". On May 2004 , Sultan Al Tarab Released his new album "It'akhart Kteer", which made a huge success in both the arab world and the foreign counteries. Sultan Al Tarab is preparing the release of his new album, excpect it to be in stores on 06/2005. بَدأَ سلطان أل tarab GeoGeorge Wassouf بغِنَاء صغيرِ جداً في

فنادق، شيراتون وهكذا. فترة قصيرة جداً بعد، إنتقلَ إلى لبنان، في العُمرِ
الصغيرِ جداً حيث بَدأَ بغِنَاء هناك وحيث يُصبحُ أكثرَ شهرةً حقاً. هو
كَانَ في عُمرِ بعمر 16 سنةً الذي عندما أصبحَ الرجلَ المشهورَ الحقيقيَ،
