Melhem Zein was born in The Lebanese Bekaa, where he spent most of his
life until now. He was raised in a family consisting of two great
parents, and 8 children including him. At the age of seven, Melhem sang
“Lissa Faker” for Um Kulthoum in a ceremony.
At the age of eleven, Melhem participated in a Song Festival that was
held in all schools within Lebanon. He was ranked as the first place
winner on the Bekaa Province partition, and as the fourth place winner
nationwide in Lebanon. He also participated in a talent show and won the
Prize of Mohammad Abdul Wahhab when he sang “Ya Jarat al Wadi”. Melhem
is inspired by the two known Musician’s, Mohammad Abdul Wahhab and Nazem
Ghazali.
Melhem developed his inborn singing talent by studying music. He studied
oriental singing, principles of the music scale in “St. Coeur University
in Kaslik” and in “The Oriental Song College”. Melhem says, “I’ve been
raised to appreciate classical Arabic music, and I absolutely cannot
sing the modern styles of music that are currently widespread”. Melhem
studied law for one year and had to stop in order to join army, which is
a compulsory military mission in Lebanon.
Melhem Zein كَانَ ولدَ في البقاع اللبنانية، حيث صَرفَ أغلب
حياتِه لحدّ الآن. هو رُفِعَ في a عائلة التي تَشْملُ أبّين عظيمينِ، و8
أطفالِ بضمن ذلك هو. في عُمرِ سبعة، Melhem غَنّى “ ملفّق ليسا ” لUm
Kulthoum في a مراسم.
في عُمرِ أحدَ عشرَ، Melhem شاركَ في a مهرجان أغنيةِ الذي حُمِلَ في كُلّ
المَدارِسِ ضمن لبنان. هو صُنّفَ كالدرجة الأولى فائز على تقسيمِ محافظةِ
البقاع، وكفائز المكانِ الرابعِ في عموم البلاد في لبنان. شاركَ أيضاً في a
معرض موهبةِ ورَبحَ جائزةَ محمد عبد الوهاب عندما غَنّى “ Ya Jarat الWadi
”. Melhem مُلهَمُ مِن قِبل الموسيقارِ المعروفِ، محمد عبد الوهاب وNazem
غزالي.
طوّرَ Melhem موهبته الغنائية الغريزية بدِراسَة الموسيقى. دَرسَ غناءاً
شرقياً، تَقِيسُ مبادئَ الموسيقى في “ جامعة St Coeur في Kaslik ” وفي “
كليَّة الأغنيةِ الشرقيةِ ”. Melhem يَقُولُ , “ أنا رُفِعتُ لتَقدير
الموسيقى العربيةِ الكلاسيكيةِ، وأنا بالتأكيد لا أَستطيعُ غِنَاء
الأساليبِ الحديثةِ للموسيقى التي واسعة الإنتشار حالياً ”. دَرسَ Melhem
قانوناً لسَنَةِ واحدة وكان لا بُدَّ أنْ يَتوقّفَ لكي يَلتحقَ بالجيشِ،
الذي a مهمّة عسكرية إلزامية في لبنان. |
